More B/X Booklet Pages

Here's two more pages from my B/X Character Generation booklet. I should have Magic-User and Thief pages done by tomorrow. The blank spaces will get filled with some artwork, but I'll leave that until I've finished all the layout in case things move around a bit.

B/X Character Generation Booklet

I hoped to have got a lot further with FOSSIL (fantasy old school system index lite) ideas by now. However, things are moving again with it, and I thought I'd share the first page of a little booklet I'm working on.

The finished booklet will be 12 or 16 pages and should include most of what is needed to generate and run characters from levels 1-10. Spell descriptions will only be included for 1st level, but full spell descriptions might go in a future booklet. The content is all written and some of the layout is complete. I hope to have it out in PDF and print before Christmas. The booklet will be DL sized (210mm x 105mm) and in landscape format.

The back page of the booklet will be a Character sheet based on my recent mug design.

B/X Monster Reference Index Sources

This is a short post to explain the abbreviated references used in the B/X Monster Reference Index. the Index was funded by a Kickstarter campaign, but will be released for general sale on Saturday 5th December at Dragonmeet and Sunday 6th December at Squarehex.co.uk. A PDF version is already available to buy at RPGNow.com.

What is FOSSIL?

FOSSIL stands for Fantasy Old School System Index Lite.

I't is a retroclone role playing game based on the B/X rules of the World's Most Popular Fantasy Role Playing Game.

The rules for FOSSIL are currently in development and will be ready to launch in 2016 via a Kickstarter campaign.

A supporting product for the system (B/X Monster Reference Index), will be released in December, after it has been sent to the Kickstarter backers that supported it.
